Born in Kiev, she began her studies at the Academy of Music Nuremberg and got her degree in solo singing and vocal pedagogy with the highest honours. After getting her graduate diploma she continued her postgraduate voice studies at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and operetta at the Vienna Conservatory.
Irina Borodyanska is the winner of several international competitions: 2-nd Prize at the International Franz-Stanner voice competition in Vienna, 3-rd prize at the international competition “The golden Hanukija” in Israel. She was further awarded “the Bavarian promotion culture prize”, the scholarships of the “Accademia Europea di Firenze” and the “International Association of the Wagner Society“.
She has taken part in Master classes with internationally renowned musicians such as KS Prof. Sylvia Geszty , Prof. Edith Wiens , KS Siegfried Jerusalem , Prof. Udo Reinemann, Karl -Friedrich Beringer, Irwin Gage and Prof. Charles Spencer .
Besides her active concert activities Irina Borodyanska’s operatic engagements include roles of Gretel (“Hansel and Gretel”), Susanna (“The Marriage of Figaro”), Zerlina (“Don Giovanni”), Silvia (“L’isola disabitata”), Eliza (“Pygmalion”), Angèle (“The Count of Luxembourg”), Princess Helene (“Waltzertraum”), 1. Lady (“The Magic Flute”) , and many more.
She has participated in numerous solo and chamber music performances in concerts as well as performances in the field of church music and musical theatre entertainment.
